Like just about every young boy growing up I had a trainset that my mom and dad got for me. I never really searched out trains for photography but they're kind of everywhere and always make for an interesting subject. There's an old railyard in our town which was great for taking portraits with a train backdrop, but the old iron beasts also look pretty cool on their own so now I kind of search trains out as a subject. Maybe it's the nostalgia of trains or the search for them, either way enjoy America's railways!
