Like just about every young boy growing up I had a trainset that my mom and dad purchased for me. I never really searched out trains for photography, but they're everywhere and always make for an interesting subject. There's an old railyard in our town which was great for taking portraits with a train backdrop, but the old iron beasts also look pretty cool on their own so now I often search trains out as a subject. Maybe it's the nostalgia of trains or the hunt for them that motivates me, either way enjoy America's railways!
